State Regulatory Compliance
This section provides a sample of permit applications and regulatory information. FWC has a permitting office, and further information can be accessed through our web site or by contacting a permitting coordinator directly in Tallahassee. Chapter 379, F.S., Fish and Wildlife Conservation, outlines the responsibilities and authority of FWC. Chapter 68A-27, Florida Administrative Code, contains state rules relating to endangered and threatened species. Any handling, potential disturbance, or collection requires either a scientific collection permit or a species permit depending on the species and methodology in question.
