Rivers and Streams (Riparian Ecosystems)

Rivers and streams include all riparian community types identified in any vegetation classification system Examples of riparian communities include but are not limited to: calcareous stream, alluvial stream, softwater stream, and seepage/steelhead stream. The habitat management techniques identified below should be applied to all related community types with a riparian ecosystem. Springs and Spring Runs have similar management requirements but are grouped under a different heading in this resource.
